Building the future


Sergio Shimura currently works at the Instituto Federal Sao Paulo as Electronics and automation Professor. His research interests includes Renewable Energies, Statistics and Space Research (Cubesats).

His recent work includes The Inspire respirator project , developed by the Polytechnic School of USP, in partnership with the IFSP and the Brazilian Navy, entered a final testing phase. According to Professor Denilson Mirim, general director of Câmpus Sorocaba, starting this week, the prototype should go into production to meet the demand of hospitals in the fight against Covid-19.
